Crochet Witch's Broom

November 08, 2017
Originally I thought I might crochet more of Ivy's Halloween costume, but as she was only going to a very short party, teamed with her indifference to dressing up things, I decided just to make her a wee broom to go with the rest of her witch's outfit. There's no point in spending ages making her something if she's not going to use it! Hopefully in future years she'll ask me to make her stuff for dressing up, and I can make her something cool then.

I found this cute wee pattern for a witch's broom, and decided to make it using some chunky yarn (and some aran weight yarn for the actual broom head) I had from another project and a 7mm hook.

Crochet broom

I love how dinky it turned out - it looks exactly like a wee broom! Though I'm glad I didn't make more of Ivy's costume as she basically refused to carry the broom, or wear the wee witch's hat my mum bought her! Oh well, I can hopefully save it for future years!

Yarn Used:
  • Hayfield Bonus Chunky:
    • Chocolate.
  • Lion Brand Vanna's Choice:
    • Beige.
