Felt Leatherface

The start of April marked mine and Donald's third wedding anniversary, which in case you didn't know, was the leather anniversary. I was planning on getting him something Leatherface, from Texas Chainsaw Massacre, as we're both big horror fans, but I couldn't find anything cool enough. So I decided to make him a little felt Leatherface to put in with his actual present (which was Lego, because we're totes adult).

I used this gingerbread boy template to cut out the little person shape from felt, and then I free-handed all his details. I glued these on with fabric glue, stitched some details on like his face and mask, and then glued a plain, black person shape on to the back to hide all the messy bits.

He really has no purpose other than looking cute, so Donald's had him sitting in his car where he keeps his iPod, but I wanted to make something to fit with the anniversary as I've managed to stick to the theme for the last two year and didn't want to ruin it.

Hilariously Donald got me a cute wee Leatherface figure to go with my present, which was a giant Power Rangers figure! Yes!
