777 - It's All in the Details

So as you may know, our wedding theme was woodland. I'm not sure why I latched on to this theme so quickly, but I think after perusing Pinterest when we first got engaged is to blame. My mum and I worked out a lot of the small details for the day. Trying to get it all to fit together and look like a theme was quite hard without it looking like a kids birthday party.

So I thought I would show off some photos of all the little details we did for the day. Some of them aren't terribly crafty, but I think it all ended up looking awesome.

First up our wedding card post box. I saw cute ones on Not on the High Street for about £30, and then realised I could get blank ones for £5 from Amazon and just decorate them myself.

We purchased the personalised tag from eBay and then decorated the rest with bits and bobs from Hobbycraft. The brown paper tags and hearts fitted in nicely with our save the dates and invites. We popped in on a table with our guest book, and the purple garland is also from our Monsoon haul.

A lot of our decorations were old window displays from Monsoon. Luckily my Mum got her name down on the list for them in three or four shops so we ended up with a butt-load of them. The main things were these cute little wooden animals. We popped some ribbon around their necks and set them down the aisle and later on some tables.

We also got loads of bunting and little wooden animal garlands which were strung up all over the place!

Also to fit in with our theme, we decided to name the tables after animals instead of using numbers. We had a squirrel, deer, rabbit, owl, fox and hedgehog table. My mum printed off some big coloured pictures of all the animals, and we stuck them in bits of log, decorated with netting.

Our tables were decorated with confetti, which had either purple or green paper on the back, and Bambi pictures on the front.

More logs now! Luckily my mum knows a friend with a chainsaw ha ha! We had logs with pine cones on them for our cupcakes which we served at the drinks reception.

These are aforementioned cupcakes by the way. My mum picked up the cute little wafer toppers with our names on them from eBay.

We also had those lovely butterfly napkins, as well as lots of woodland themed sweets and purple and green macaroons for people to munch on.

Speaking of woodland sweets, here are our favour bags.

As you can see they are filled with things like coconut mushrooms, a Malteaser bunny, jelly raspberries and mini eggs. Anything left over from the favour bags were what we served with the cupcakes. The personalised stickers were from the same eBay shop that made the ones for our invites.

Finally, the main detail of our tables! We had the chairs decorated with either green or purple chair bows. We also had glass bell jars, which were balanced on more logs and filled with lovely flowers by our florist, as well as little mushrooms and glittery bugs, for the centre pieces.

We also had a green table runner, ivy and little cube flowers on our top table, as well as a big floral centre piece the hotel provided, and the initials from my last blog post.

Well I think that's everything for now! Phew that was a lot of photos! I think all that's left now is the cake, but I'll leave that for another post.
